Yes best to not compare with anyone else. All ideas including that of gradual or sudden enlightenment are simply thoughts. So to rest here and now free of false identification is all there is.

And of course it's true that accepting the present moment includes accepting 'you' in whatever way the 'you' unfolds including resistance to the moment.

Realization that there is no you to be enlightened IS indeed enlightenment. So whether by accepting the you as it rises or by seeing the momentary and therefore impermanent nature of the you as it rises, the you is transcended. And what abides is indescribable.
